NOTICE ON REGISTRATION OF TRADITIONAL AND COMPLEMENTARY MEDICINE (T&CM) PRACTITIONERS
Please be informed that sections 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 20, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47, 60, 61, subsections 63 (1) and (3) of the Traditional and Complementary Medicine Act 2016 [Act 775] shall come into operation on 1st August 2016.
Below is the latest information on the registration of T&CM practitioners:
1. Registration of local T&CM practitioners
Registration of local T&CM practitioners with the T&CM Council will be conducted in phases and will commence on a date to be determined in due course. For the time being, no applications for registration with the Council will be processed.
2. Non-application of Requirements 3.5 and 4.1 of the Application Guideline for Foreign T&CM Practitioners
For the time being, applications of supporting letters for foreign T&CM practitioners will continue as usual. However, beginning 1st August 2016, requirements 3.5 and 4.1 of the Application Guideline for Foreign T&CM Practitioners (Click Here) will no longer be applicable until further notice. For applications submitted to the T&CM Division before 1st August 2016, the applicant is required to meet all relevant requirements as given in the guideline.
