Introduction of Professional Development Section
The Professional Development Section is one of the 6 sections under the Traditional and Complementary Medicine Division (T&CMD), Ministry of Health Malaysia. The head of the Professional Development Section oversees three units under this section, namely the CPD Unit, the Quality Unit and the Information Technology Unit.
The functions of each unit in the Professional Development Section are as follows:
1. CPD Unit
- Plan and identify trainings needed by the service
- Coordinate and monitor activities organized and LDP budget performance within the division
- Coordinate training invitations locally or abroad
- Coordinate talk invitations by other agencies
- Monitor and coordinate activities related to myCPD and conduct verification audit in T&CMD
- Plan and prepare T&CMD and MOH annual report
2. Quality Unit
- Plan and coordinate the implementation of Quality Management System (QMS)
- Plan and coordinate updates of quality documents
- Plan and monitor the division’s achievement of KPI
- Plan procurement of T&CM services available in hospital T&CM Unit
- Plan and monitor performance of T&CM activities budget
3. Technology Information Unit
- Manage and monitor maintenance of ICT asset and system
- Coordinate the updates of data and information on official portal and information system
