APPLICATION FOR FEEDBACK LETTER FOR FOREIGN TRADITIONAL AND COMPLEMENTARY MEDICINE PRACTITIONER AND ASSISTANT PRACTITIONER

We refer to the announcement made by YB Rafizi Ramli, Minister of Economy via a press release dated 31 May 2023, on the application process for expatriate Employment Pass (EP) which will be fully implemented through a Single Window system known as Xpats Gateway.

The Xpats Gateway which will be officially launched on 15 June 2023 represents the Government’s commitment to digitising governance while ensuring that Malaysia remains a business-friendly country that supports its economic and investment goals.

Beginning 15 June 2023, an employer who wishes to hire a foreign Traditional and Complementary Medicine (T&CM) practitioner or assistant practitioner can apply for Feedback Letter (also referred to as Support Letter) for their expatriate Employment Pass through Xpats Gateway. The Xpats Gateway can be accessed via the ESD Online system at esd.imi.gov.my.

Upon obtaining the feedback letter, the employer can continue to proceed with the application for the final decision by the Immigration Department of Malaysia (IDM) via the ESD Online system.

However, foreign T&CM practitioners are required to apply for a Temporary Practicing Certificate (TPC) from the T&CM Council after obtaining their EP from IDM.
