IMPLEMENTATION OF NEW CPD CREDIT SYSTEM FOR OPTOMETRISTS AND OPTICIANS EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2024
Starting on January 1, 2024, the Malaysian Optical Council will be implementing a new CPD Credit System for the determination of CPD credits for optometrists and opticians.
CPD program providers must organize CPD programs that comply with the criteria set in the new CPD Credit System.
The organization of CPD programs under categories A1, A2, and A3 must obtain approval from the Malaysian Optical Council (MOC) before the program is conducted. If CPD programs (A1, A2, A3) are conducted without applying for CPD credit determination, participants, speakers, and facilitators will not be able to claim CPD credits from the MOC.
