RESTORATIVE DENTISTRY

Restorative dentistry is a field of dentistry where complex dental problems are managed to restore the patient's physiological function (chewing and speech) and aesthetics. Specialists will carry out treatment and monitor complicated cases as well as with special needs referred by other dental fields that require the restoration or rehabilitation of dental function.
Restorative specialists are placed either in specialist dental clinics or specialist dental centres throughout Malaysia. They are also involved in interdisciplinary management to complete the treatment given to restore the overall function of the patient's bite. The main purpose of this specialist treatment is to restore function, replace lost teeth or tissue and restore the patient's bite.
