ORAL AND E-POSTER SUBMISSION
General Guidelines for Abstract Submission
Please read this instruction carefully before submitting your abstract.
- Please submit the abstract in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx) through this link: https://bit.ly/NOHRIconf2024
- The deadline for abstract submission is 15th June 2024, 10.00pm.
- Please indicate the type of presentation (Oral/ e-poster).
- Word count - should not exceed 300 words (not including the title, authors’ name,
address and keywords (In Bahasa Melayu or English). - Font type and size:
● Title: Arial, size 11, CAPITAL LETTERS, BOLD.
● Authors: Arial, size 11 (please use superscript numbers to match authors & institutions).
● Text: Arial, size 11, single spacing.
● Present the authors' affiliation addresses below the names. - Name of Authors and Co-authors.
● Please check that all names of authors are accurately spelled.
● Institutional affiliations. For research done during postgraduate study, put both affiliations (University and current workplace). Indicate all affiliations with a superscript number immediately after the author's name and in front of the
appropriate address (refer to the sample abstract below).
● The name of the presenting author must be bold and underlined. - Each abstract is required to have Background, Objective(s), Method(s), Result(s), and Conclusion(s) and Keyword(s) sections.
- Tables, charts, graphs or references should NOT be included in the abstract. If included, the Organizer reserves the right to delete them.
- The abstract should be reviewed by all team members including supervisors before submission and all the information in the abstract must be correct.
- The content of the abstract cannot be modified or corrected after the end of the submission deadline, no amendment, changes or additions whatsoever to the abstract text, authors (either first authors or co-authors), or affiliations are permitted, unless requested by the Committee. Please take great care to ensure that no mistakes are made.
- Conference registration is compulsory for all presenting author.

Guidelines for e-POSTER Presentation
- The topic must be relevant to the dentistry research area.
- The participant must read and understand the guidelines given. Any submission after the stipulated deadline will not be accepted.
- The participant must submit an abstract through https://bit.ly/NOHRIconf2024 latest by 15th June 2024. After acceptance, the organiser will contact the participant through email and may proceed to prepare the e-poster in Powerpoint Presentation Format.
- No hard copy is needed.
- The allocation time for each e-poster presentation is 7 minutes (+ 3 minutes for QnA from the judges). Please be ready at the site of the e-poster area at least half an hour before the judging session.
- The e-poster will be evaluated by the panels of judges. Judges’ decisions are final. No correspondence would be entertained.
- The participants are entitled to receive an e-certificate for e-poster presentation and the winners will receive a certificate of achievement during the closing ceremony.
Guidelines for ORAL Presentation
- The topic must be relevant to the dentistry research area.
- The participant must read and understand the guidelines given. Any submission after the stipulated deadline will not be accepted.
- The participant must submit an abstract through https://bit.ly/NOHRIconf2024 latest by 15th June 2024. After acceptance, the participant may proceed to prepare a Powerpoint presentation.
- The Powerpoint presentation should include:
- Introduction
- Objectives
- Significance
- Research Methods
- Results and/or discussion
- Conclusion
- The allocation time for each oral presentation is 7 minutes (+ 3 minutes for QnA from the judges). The estimation of slide number is 8-10 slides to accommodate the time allocation.
- The oral presentation will be evaluated by the panels of judges. Judges’ decisions are final. No correspondence would be entertained.
- The participants are entitled to receive an e-certificate for oral presentation and the winners will receive a certificate of achievement during the closing ceremony.
