FUNCTIONS OF THE HEALTH FACILITY PLANNING SECTION

  1. Preparation of the Health Facility Development Master Plan of the Ministry of Health in aspects
  • Ensure health facility planning is in line with government policy, latest technology and is appropriate based on health needs and existing resources
  • Formulate guidelines and strategies for the purpose of planning and developing health facilities
  • Analyzing requirements from the aspect of service scope including subspecialty services, workload, human resources and others
  • Planning based on evidence (evidence-based planning)
  1. Providing Health Facility Planning Norms & Guidelines of the Ministry of Health:
  • Plan medical equipment requirements for appropriate engineering systems and equipment. Requirements & facility design from the medical aspect (equipment, system and equipment)
  1. Physical planning of projects identified to be implemented in the following aspects:
  • Preparation of scope details in the form of “Medical Brief of Requirements” (MBOR).
  • Provide ‘medical planning’ input in design development.
  • Planning and identifying medical equipment needs for projects implemented (list and coordination of specification approval).
  • Checking and verifying issues of non-compliance and proposing solutions from the medical planning aspect during construction to ensure that KKM health facilities comply with the set standards.
