The purpose is to assess the compliance of registered opticians and optometrists as well as optical premises with the Optical Act 1991, the Optical Regulations 1994 and the Code of Practice for Opticians and Optometrists.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;color: #000000\"><strong>Objective<\/strong><\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000\">\u00a0 \u00a0 a. Ensure each optical premise has at least one (1) registered practitioner who conducts eye\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0examinations.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0b. Check whether each registered practitioner working in the premise hold the Annual Practitioner\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Certificate for the current year.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0c. Ensure the APC is displayed in a conspicuous place.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0d.
