CERTIFICATION AND PRIVILEGING
Certification criteria
- Completion of logbook
– This logbook needs to be completed and signed by the trainer.
– Date of completion should be no more than 6 months from the date of application.
- Received a satisfactory feedback/report from trainer.
- Endorsed by SIG Committee.
- Will be awarded a certificate of completion of SIG Training by Medical Development Division MOH.
Note:
- Certificate of completion of SIG training does not confer eligibility for national specialist Register (NSR) application.
- A certified SIG officer is not recognised to train another trainee.
Privileging for SIG PD Officers:
- Privileging should be done at individual institution and will be valid for 3 years.
- Application for re-privileging needs to be done 6 months before current privilege certificate expiry date.
- If an officer is no longer performing/working SIG PD care duties for > 1 year, the officer will need to repeat the course and complete the logbook.
Privileging for SIG PD Paramedics:
- After completion of 100 hours training, paramedics should receive a certificate of completion of training by Medical Development Division MOH and be privileged by individual local hospital.
